“DAGDA”
“LOVING that from Bella Panic, absolutely loving that one! We cannot wait for the album!”
– James Threlfall, BBC Introducing
I wrote “Dagda” about my Irish heritage; Dagda was one of the Tuatha Dé Danann, one of the tribesmen of the gods. A supernatural race in Irish mythology: The first Irishmen. Dagda is a father like figure, a king, a druid, who controls both life and death, the weather and the crops as well as time and the seasons. He has a cauldron that never runs empty, a staff which can kill with one end and bring life with the other. And a harp that can control the emotions of men. The mist rolling off the mendips during harsh, muddy winters during a global pandemic seemed to be the perfect place to write this one. ~ Bella Panic.
